There is an increasing interest in the establishment of wholly owned subsidiaries in the NHS and this article examines the key drivers for this interest, the legal requirements for such new companies and some of the practical issues that Trusts will need to consider.

The NHS Leadership Academy has announced its new Rosalind Franklin Programme for mid-level leaders in health and care.


NHS trusts made £288m in savings during the last financial year by buying cheap everyday essential such as syringes, toilet rolls and disposable gloves by comparing prices between trusts across the country, according to the latest figures from NHS Improvement (NHSI).
